Our Favorite Things to Do in the Community and Local Nonprofits to Support

At Trixies Salon & Spa, our hearts beat for the vibrant pulse of the Des Moines community. We're not just a business; we're a part of a thriving network of local businesses that make this city special. Here's a glimpse into some of our cherished spots, each a testament to the entrepreneurship spirit of Des Moines.

Our love for Des Moines extends beyond the doors of our salon & spa. We are proud to partner with local nonprofits dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. Together, we believe in giving back and fostering a sense of unity.

As we continue to grow and evolve, let's celebrate the places that have stood the test of time, enriching our lives and creating memories. These are more than businesses; they are the heartbeat of Des Moines. Join us in supporting local, whether it's through cherished spots or vital nonprofits. Let's keep the spirit of community alive!

Trixies Salon and Spa is proud to partner with the John Stoddard Cancer Center’s Empower Boutique and Salon in Des Moines.

Within the heart of this all-volunteer salon, our dedicated team of volunteers strives to do more than haircuts, head shavings and soothing scalp massages – we aim to make a profound impact.

In the journey of empowering cancer patients through the challenges of hair loss during treatment, our involvement goes beyond the scissors and styling chairs. We share stories, engage in deep conversations, and embrace each individual with a love and empathy that goes far beyond the surface. Our goal is simple – to offer an encouraging word, share a laugh, a cry or be the listening ear they need in that moment.

But here's where you come in. You have the power to support the Empower Boutique by purchasing items from our carefully curated wishlist. These are not just items; they are tangible expressions of care and compassion. Click the links provided to explore the most needed items, and drop them off at any Trixies Salon. We'll ensure they find their way to the Empower Boutique.

Join us on this journey, and together, let's create a meaningful impact for those in their cancer journey.
