We recently had the honor of attending Pearls & Pours 2026, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa — and what a night!
Think: beautifully curated bites, fabulous drinks, a string quartet giving full-on Bridgerton energy, and a crowd that showed up ready to support an incredible cause.
Even the thunder outside felt like applause (and honestly… we agreed 👏).
Supporting organizations that care for families during difficult times is something we’re deeply passionate about.

Iowa Cancer Consortium
The Trixies Wellness Team and Heart of a Hairdresser are proud members of the Iowa Cancer Consortium and are becoming increasingly active in its initiatives. Most recently, we participated in the virtual Rural Workgroup meeting, further strengthening our commitment to expanding supportive care in underserved communities across rural Iowa.
The Consortium serves as Iowa’s statewide comprehensive cancer coalition, bringing together healthcare providers, organizations, and advocates to reduce the burden of cancer through prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship support. Through collaboration, education, and funding initiatives, the Consortium fosters partnerships and provides resources that improve cancer outcomes and enhance quality of life across the state—especially in rural areas where access to care can be limited.
We’re excited about what’s ahead and gearing up for some BIG things!
