One thing about Trixies Salon and Spa owner Tricia is her huge passion for giving back to the community through her talents and ability to unite people.
She can do just that through the John Stoddard Cancer Center’s Empower Boutique and Salon.
This all-volunteer salon is located inside the John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines and works to empower cancer patients as they navigate losing their hair during treatment.
The salon provides cancer patients with free haircuts, head shavings, and scalp massages.
“To the John Stoddard Cancer Center and Empower Boutique and Salon, thank you so much for allowing me to be on this amazing journey with all of you and share my gift of being a hairdresser to make a difference in the lives of those who are going through cancer,” Tricia says.
Thanks to donor support, the salon services are available to patients at no cost.
